This body of work was created as apart of my work done in my glaze calculus class. As an undergraduate I loved making pottery and love the complexity of the medium. I've always loved a challenge and I believe that is what led me to formulate this clay body. The golds and browns that you see come from the Barnard that is in the clay. With 50 percent Goldart, throwing this clay makes you feel like you are throwing with porcelain with the strength of a stoneware. This cone 10 clay body if formulated to fire at high temperature and flash golds and metallic when fired with heavy soda ash in a soda firing.
